How to Establish Conne from BW server to R/3 Server

Iam working with R/3 Extraction.How to connect BW server with R/3 system for Replication of datasources.

follow the steps:

1) go to SM59 in R/3 and create FC destination for BW.

2) give application server details of BWand login and password for backgroubd user of BW (say, aleremote)

3) Save and test the connection and authorization test via menu --> system

4) Go to RSA1 of BW --> source system --> right click and create new source system

5) select the RFC destination which you have created above and enter source system user/pass (i.e in R/3, say aleremote again) and user/pass in BW.

6) Means you need two users one in BW and otehr in R/3. they acts as a background user while RFC data extraction. So RFC extration related authorization must be alloted to them.

7) Right click on your newly created source system and replicated the data.

Hi Madhu,

First you need to create a RFC Connection between BW and R/3.

This can be done by Tcode SM59. Cleck on create and Give RFC Destination

Give connection type as 3 (R/3), give Client, User and password in Logn Tab.

Check and Do a remote login.

The create a Source System TCODE RSA1> Source System Tree> Right Click Create Source System and Select R/3 Source System.

Here you provide the Destination as mentioned in RFC Destination and assign Background User.

And then save.

Then Check Connection and then relplicate the Datasources.
