PCK 3.0 installation errors

Hi all,

As I try to install the PCK 3.0 I get the following errors:

ERROR 2005-08-17 11:31:22

FKD-00037 Query did not return a result.

ERROR 2005-08-17 11:31:22

FKD-00038 Query did not return a result.Select attribute SID, statement: WHERE ROWNUM = 0

I have WebAS 6.40 and Oracle 9i installed on a Windows 2000 Server (SP4).

Could it be a problem that I have XI 3.0 installed on the same WebAS?

Thanks for any pointer!

Denis

It should not be a problem to have the installation on the same host, with different SID.

What exactly did you install: SR 0 or SR 1?

When did the problem occur:

During installation of J2EE server, or during installation of PCK?

Hi Stefan,

I had this problem just after starting sapinst.exe for SR1. I also have XI 3.0 SR1. I could not enter anything yet. Just after starting the installation procedure this error occurs.

I have no idea what could have gone wrong

About 10 seconds prior to the errors this warning is putted to the log:

WARNING 2005-08-17 11:31:12

Execution of the command "change 'user' '/install'" finished with return code 1. Output:

Install mode does not apply to a Terminal server configured for remote administration.

Please help!

Denis,

Did you installa Web AS J2EE system only prior to the PCK installation with a different system id and number ?

Web AS for XI is ABAP + J2EE Add-In.

Hi,

no, I tried to use the Web AS for XI (ABAP stack + J2EE Add In) - no J2EE system with diferent system ID and number.

Please take a look at the installation guide from

http://service.sap.com/instguides

SAP NetWeaver --> Release 04 --> Installation --> SAP XI --> Installation Guide - SAP Partner Connectivity Kit (pdf)

Look at page 11.

SAP calls all of these Web AS but pay attention to what installation they are referring to.

Web AS J2EE system is different from Web AS ABAP + J2EE Add-In.

Install a Web AS J2EE system then on top of that install PCK. PCK is not an add-on to XI installation (PCK is an add on tool to the XI but not on the same XI installation).

Hope this helps.
