URGENT - Asset Capitalisation Date Change

Scenario 1 - Asset Details uploaded through AS91, the capitalisation date was entered.

Year end changed and last year closed.

Scenario 2 - Now the capitalisation dates of some of the assets should be changed to bring in the correct amount.

If the legacy Asset is tried to be changed through AS92; the capitalisation date in the posting information area is not modifiable.

How to make it modifiable?

Help Needed

P.S - Manual Depreciation for these assets has been recorded although but not run through the Depreciation Run.

Hi Bhatia,

When you have made postings it not longer possible to change. For the depreciation is depreciation start date important.

In the depreciation key you can say if capitalisation is only alowed in the aquasition year. When this is the case you can change your depreciation key. Or you use an sub assets, in some case when you have special depreciation keys you have to use sub-assets

You mean to say, I should reverse the Deprecation charge done manually?
