iam having 80 records in ods again iam loading 40 records with before image and after image now how many records in active data table and change log

If all 40 are new records,then no overwrite will happen and there will be 120 records at the end in ODS and all will be in Active table after ODS activation.

If any reocord is OLD record, say 1 old records uploaded to ODS after modification:

recor1 -

---

1500 (already exits in ODS)

record1 -

---

2500 (updated records)

so in change log, you will see diff of this i.e 1000 which will loaded to further data target if any.

before image will be 1500 with flag set as deleted.

after image will be 2500 wiht flag set as Updated.

Hi Chandra

Initially you have

Active table = 80 Records

Change log = X ( Nobdy can say: If all 80- are new record in active table then off course 80 will be there in cange log)

After loading 40 Before/after image record

Active Table = 80 ( All 40 are delta records, as it is after/before image so for the same Key data is already loaded hence data will be aggregated now)

Change Log = X+40
