FMDERIVE not working in GB01 (FI-SL)

Hi All,

We are on ECC 6.0. We have implemented PSM-FM (Public Sector Management - Funds Management).

The issue we are facing is that when we are posting direct entries in Special Purpose Ledger through T. Code GB01, the following fields are not getting derived from FMDERIVE where we have defined FM Derivation Rules:

Fund

Fund Center

Commitment Item

Could somebody throw some light on it or suggest some pointers to the solution of it?

Shalin,

FMDERIVE will not be called in Direct posting in fi-SL, you need to enter all required information manually. More over other than posting open item migration we should not post directly in fi-sl.

Thanks for the useful answer. However, is there any set logic for that as to why FMDERIVE will not work in FI-SL Direct Postings?

Hi I don't understand why you did not activate New GL in order to have the table FMGLFLEXT. And SAP will not help you in future if you don't use New GL.

Moreover with New GL you have payments online and you avoid RFFMS200

And New GL is very easy to use
