if an employee gets a promotion than his position will change than h to deal this situtation wht about the personnel number
points wiil be rewarded

let the personnel number be same, rather use action organizational re-assignmnet will do for the process.
Their is no need to change the pernr, as it is unique to a person.

Hi Theja,
When an employee is promoted his personnel no won't change rather his Org assignment will change. Some other Infotypes which may be affected are "Planned Working Time", "Basic Pay", "Recurring Payments/Deductions", "Additional Payments".
You can maintain some of these through Standard SAP Action "Oranizational Reassignment", iit will do the needful.

There is also a one more action, like Change in Position action which can be performed through Pa40, by this also we can change the position, where you can change the data in other sequesce infotypes like IT0007, IT0008,.. ..
Here no need to change the personal number, but remember the dates while performing actions.
