marketing default options

hi,

is it possible to allow options in the marketing planner to be there by default?

For example, in the Planning Profile Group field, instead of getting a blank field when i get into the Marketing Planner, an option already displayed in the Planning Profile Group field. The same applies for any field in the Marketing Planner such as Status Profile, Action Profile fields and so on. is this possible?

Any feedback/guidance will be very much appreciated.

What you could do is choose selective copying and assign the fields you want copied from the higher level campaign. This way you create the highest level campaign and the campaigns/plans etc created from higher level nodes inherit the fields of the campaign above. In most cases you have at least one higher level campaign to represent the year/quester. Not quite "defaulting" values but a way to use the config to get what you're looking for.

if you're looking for true "defaulting" you may have to resort to a BADI in many cases.

Hi Noobie,

What you asking for is Scenario dependent. Planning Profile Group is related to BW and SEM and comes in to picture when you are doing Keyfigure planning.

If you are going for a scenario which doesn't require any integration then we would not require to select this field at all.

If you are doing Analysis of the campain executed, Return on the Campaigns and if the configuration variants are Campaign budget and control.

Guess, could put in more thoughts about this if we know the scenario.

hi,

my requirement here is to show a default option to be shown in the field (Planning Profile Group, Action Profile, Status Profile), as they only have 1 profile for each of those fields.

so this means that the moment the customer logs into the marketing planner, they will see in the Planning Profile Group, Action Profile and Status Profile field, that there are already "filled up". these fields can be changed later on if necessary.

so is this possible? if it is what are the configurations that are necessary for this?
