Web Analyser is more like Bex Analyser. In Bex Analyser we Open Queries in Excel in what you called Web Analyser instead of Excel we see it in Portal (Dont think this is EP) this gives just an URL where we can see the data of the query more like in Excel. I hope this is clear.

By the way itz not called web Analyser we have

BEx Analyser (Excel)

Query Designer (This is what you think as WEB Analyser)

WAD

Report Designer

The BEx Web Analyzer, a standalone, user-friendly Web application for data analysis, offers improved navigation options.

The following new functions are available in the BEx Web Analyzer.

● You can use Drag & Drop to work within the navigation area or between the navigation area and table.

● A filter area is available in which you can set filters easily.

● Using the settings area, you can make a number of settings to change the display of your data.

● You can also save query views that are based on external, multidimensionally stored data in the BEx Web Analyzer. These query views can then be used as a data provider in Web applications.

● Note the following changed functions in the BEx Web Analyzer.

● It is no longer possible to create new queries with the BEx Web Analyzer.

The BEx Web Application Designer is a desktop application for creating Web applications with BI-specific content. Using the BEx Web Application Designer, you can create an HTML page containing BI-specific content such as various tables, charts, or maps. This HTML page (Web application) forms the basis of Web applications with complex interaction, as well as Web cockpits and iViews.
