We can implement a report with alvs as well as with out alvs.Can any body tell what is the main reason to implement a report in ALV'S.

ALV lists are much easier to develop and to enhance with additional requirements.

In addition, ALV lists provide the user with many functions (e.g. sorting, filtering, changing list layout) <b>WITHOUT </b>any need of coding because these are implicit functions of the ALV grid.

Hi Sandy,

mate, just have a go.

Create a report using ALV or take a look at example program BCALV_GRID_DEMO.

Then figure out how long it would take you to do the same without ALV.
