When posting made GL TO GL in FB50 Iam getting bellow error message.

balance field business area in line item 0001 not filled message GLT2201

Message no. GLT2201

Diagnosis

The field Profit Center marked as balancing is not filled with any value in line item 001, even after document splitting.

System Response

The document cannot be posted.

Procedure

First check your entries.

Additional causes could be:

• No value can be derived for this field from the current document data.

• You have entered a document type that is not designed for this

See under posting key whether the business area field is in suppress mode or not. if yes make it optional then automatically it regerts the problem.

Hi,

Just check the Filed Status Group at the posting key level and compare it with the GL Field status group. In any of these two the profit center may be suppressed. So make it optional in both the cases and try.

Go to FS00 and enter the GL account. Check the FSG assigned to the GL account whether the PC is enabled. If not make changes and do the posting again.
