Hi ,

the business senariao is simple and is purely based on functionality of each cube

basic cube:when the business requirement is to load actual data,

data is physically stored hear, you can create aggregates for query optimisation

transactional cube:again when it is required to load some planned data ...write optimzed

remote cube is when we need report that has real time access and we don't want the data stored in bw, normally the volume data is not high in source system,

also the report is less frequently access by user.

Now are you clear !!!!!!!

Cheers,

Hi vijay,

Infocubes are three types

1. Basic Cube == InfoCube ,used for only reading purpose ,carries actual data

2. Transactional InfoCube -- Used for Planning Data (BPS)--data will be write into the cube for plannning purpose

3. Virtual Cubes -- SAP Remote Cube and General Remote Cube --> Used for Virtual Data

Remote cubes doesn't contain data physically. It fetches the data from the source system itself directly. At the time of reporting only the data fetches from the source system. So it takes more time to execute.

Hope you have got idea!!!!!!!!
