Netweaver 6.40 on Win XP Database Instance Installation problems

I am getting errors trying to install the Database Instance. After the Successfull CI installation I am geeting the following error:

ERROR 2005-08-16 22:36:35

FSL-02015 Node and c:/DOCUMENTS/DATA does not exist.

ERROR 2005-08-16 22:36:35

MSC-01003 ESyException: ESAPinstException: error text undefined

WARNING 2005-08-16 22:36:35

The step fillR3loadPackageTable with step key SAPSYSTEM_DB|ind|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|SAPSYSTEM|ind|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|SAPComponent|ind|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|DatabaseLoad|ind|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|fillR3loadPackageTable was executed with status ERROR.

Of course I tried to create the folder c:/documents/data, but then I got this error.

Any ideas?

Check out this post. Looks like we were not the only ones. I am trying it now.

Hey.

Thanks for the suggestion. Indeed I was trying to installed it from another location...

I copied the folder to c:\ and restarted the installation from there. (NEW instalation).

Now I get an error message "X-server seems to be down" or something like that. This appears right after all enter all the data in the DB instance installation and click on START. It stops my installation right there.

I tried to uninstall everything (includin dthe CI) and restart again but I get always stuck there.

Any suggestions?

have you completely uninstalled also MaxDB before you started the new installation?

Hi All,

I downloaded SAPNetWeaver04SneakPreviewABAP.RAR from SneakPreview SDN.

I don't see installation guide or procedure to install NW 40 SneakPreview ABAP edition.

Can you please provide details of how to install NW40 preview edition.

Hi,

Try to stop and start the XServer service from windows services.

or type xserver stop/start at command prompt(u can find this \sapdb\programs\bin floder)

I had installed a few years ago a copy of the SAPDB and I had not completely Uninstalled it. I downloaded the latest MaxDB and installed it completely. After that I was able to finish my installation.

Looks like we are in the same boat!!!!

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one. I have also

tried manually creating the directory, but again the same

error as you.

I will certainly let you know if/when I find something.
