MDM 5.5 SP05 - MaxDB 7.7 - Login Problem

Hello,

I've just installed MDM Server and Client on a single machine.

MaxDB and MDM Server are running.

The connection to MDM (just using hostname) an also to the DB (hostname:7269:MDM) are working.

Then I create a repository Test using the user DBA.

The problem is to login to the repository. It doesn't work.

Any idea?

In the DB there are three User: DBA, DMB and SAPMDMDB.

Which one should be used with MDM?

I'm working with the OS User Administrator.

did you try Administrator or Admin with empty pass ?

Where come the user Admin from ?!?

It is neither in my DB nor on the System...

should I conclude that it's on the MDM Server?

I write here the points where I have lost most of the time by installing MDM with maxdb:

1) only two files are needed:

MDM -> 51032724.zip (more then 1GB)

MaxDB 7.7 -> MAXDB7702_16-10004357.SAR

2)

the installer propose sometime the path sdb and sometimes sapdb

I always used M:\sapdb\....

install the maxdb as explained in the inst. guide of mdm

http://service.sap.com/installMDM

mdm installation is straightforward

3) restart the system after installing

4) use only the DB-User SAPMDMDB with password <b>SAP</b>

5) After creating a repository, log in using the user Admin and no PW

6) capital letter are in general important
