Hello friends,
I have following in rows and column for display in query
net pa | bill pa
pa1
pa2
pa3
pa4
Now i wanted the result rows to be displayed for PA1,2,3,4
so while running the query the result rows are displayed.
Now my user wants that to change the name of that result row from
Result to Subtotal
As well as he wants it like
Subtotal for pa1
Subtotal for pa2
Subtotal for pa3
Subtotal for pa4
Please advise
How to do this.
He/she wants asetting that while running the report on Portal they have
THE ABILITY TO TURN ON/OFF THIS RESULT ROWS
How to provide that.
Please advise
Hi,
To turn the results rows on and off is a setting of the key figure/dimension. However, there is no way to rename Result to Subtotal in query designer itself. It is possible that you could accomplish this with some VB scripting, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
Cheers,
Rusty

Hi
I know that i can turn on/off the Result row from query designer
If i select particular Char. in Rows, go to Display tab and select Always display/Suprress.
But my question is , if user who does not have acess to Query designer,
Can he turn on/off this result row
as per his requirement while he is running the query from Portal.
Bex is integrated with portal.
So user will go to particular website, clcik on icon and see the query running on portal.
So while running this query on Result page, can he turn on/off the result row
Is there any kind of setting here.
Thanks
Hello I am working on Bi 7
While running query on Portal , there is no context menu available.
The buttons that i can see are
new analysis, open , save as, information,
send, print version, export to excel,
comments, filter , settings
And in any of this buttons, there is no user setting that they can turn on/off the result rows .
And can you please advise.
How to rename Result rows to Totals for a,b,c etc.
Kartikey,
I think you know how to suppress totals but you are asking how to change the text in the system generate totals line - short answer is you can't.
Would you suppressing the characteristic totals and depending on your mix of char's and consider putting in a structure that has a formula to add the key figure which gives you the total. You may have to play a little bit with the mix of characteristics to get it right and it may not work at all. Just another thought!

Gill
