can we use ship-to-party customer as sold-to ??

Hello evry one ,

i defined a customer as a ship-to-party. and when i was using this customer as sold-to-party i was given an error saying customer record does not exist. how can i use a ship-to-party customer as sold to party..

but when u create a customer as sold to party i can use it any way ...

let me know if any one have any idea ..

Hi

A Ship-to-Party customer function is to receive goods.

It cannot perform the function of Sold-to-party as per standards.

hai frnd we can use sold to party as ship to party ,bill to party and payer but we can't use ship to party as payer and we can't use bill to party as sold to party and also we can't use payer as sold to party.so sold to party can function all things

Consider u have created a Customer 1000 as SH

Now goto <b>XD07</b>

Enter 1000 and ENTER

Now change the Account group to SP(New Account Group) and enter the necessary details in Customer master data.

Now this customer will become a SP

create a new customer code for the ship-to-party. whre the present ship-to-party will be the sold to party. hope am clear. use xd01 for this purpose.

Hi,

Sold to Party can perform other partner like Ship to Party, Bill to Party and Payer,

But Other Partner Functions can not perform the Sold to Party Partner Funtion.

Ex :- If there in a sale only, then customer (Sold to Party) comes into picture like

Ship to party( to which adress to goods to be sent), Bill to Party( for which the Bill

to be sent) and Payer ( who settels the Final Amount).

If there in No Sale other Partner Functions like Ship to, Billl to and Payer will not

comes into Picture.

Hi,

You can not change SH to SP as SP is at highest level. You can only change the Account group of the SH using T.C. XD07 to Sold to Party. But you cannot use the Same Customer again to SH.

Hello,

In partner function the priority goes as SP, SH, BP and PY.

SP can act as SH, BP, PY.

SH can become BP and PY, but not SP.

So if you have created your customer as SH you cannot use it as SP.

You can change the account group of a customer using XD07 but again you cannot change account group of Sh to SP as SP is at higher level then SH.

hi

i think we cannot use a ship to party as a sold to party

where as a sold to party can be used as a ship to party.

if u want to use a ship to party first create a ship to party in VD01 and assign the ship to party number to a sold to party in XD01 in sales area screen partner functions tab page

after that in VA01 enter ship to party in ship to party field then system automatically retreives sold to party

how to extend a ship to party which is created in XD01. to sold to party ? i cant find the sale area tab when i went to XD02..

but when i am creating a new XD01 i am able to see that tab ... is there any way to extend an existing customer (ship to ) to sold to( which is created in Xd01)...

GOTO XD02 AND ENTER THE SALES AREA OF THE CUSTOMER LIKE

SALES ORGANISATION, DC AND DIVISION THEN

U WILL FIND "GENERAL DATA" COMPANY DATA AND SALES TAB PAGES ON THE MENU

GOTO SALES TAB PAGE AND PARTNER FUNCTIONS

HERE ENTER THE PARTNER FUNCTION AS "SH" AND SHIP TO PARTY CUSTOMER NUMBER

It is not possible to extend the ship-to-party(customer) to sold to party.

But it is possible to extend sold to party(customer) to as number of ship to party.

hi ramesh .. u dont neet do extend a sold to party as it will default takes into ship to .. the only problem occurs with conversion from ship to party to sold to party

let me try with prashants idea the XD02 and the tabs

prashant will that give me the same customer number or is the customer number going to change?
