Hi,

Scenario:Currently operating on Descrete Mfg.

Planning to go for repeatitive mfg.

The product has subassemblies with Proc type=E & Spl Proc=52.

The subassemblies have routings and operation times.

We do not indend to post GRs(stock) for these subassemblies.

Question : How to take care of these subassemblies in REM?

Thanks

Nitin,

If you dont want to stock the subassemblies in store or shop floor, assign the subasemblies with Special Procurement key 50 - Meaning Phantom assembly. When ever Planned order is created for the main assembly, subassembly BOM will be exploded and components will be backflushed based on the subassembly BOM along with Main Assembly BOM components.

Thanks sir.

In our case, the subassemblies are physical assemblies and not the logical grouping of material (as in SPK 50)

1) Can we use SPK 52 in REM?

2) If SPK 50 used, how will the product costing take the labour content from the routing?

Nitin,

SPK 52 is not possible in REM.

As far as Labour is concerned you can add in as a reporting point in the Rate Routing of the main assembly and you can assign the Phantom assembly to this operation so that everything goes fine.
