Variant Configuration

Guys,

Am trying to create VC and tried to follow steps given by Eric Blondin in this

post <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/forums">VC</a>.

I started off with CTBW, tried to put in 2LIS_11_VAITM in the basic DS followed

by Client 200, Class Type 300, Obj. Table VBPS, DS type TRAN and

System generated DS "1CL_OLIS001" i saved it. I thought i can see the DS

"1CL_OLIS001" in rsa6 so that i can transfer DS, so that it is available for BW to

use.

The problem is i couldn't find this DS in rsa6. Am not sure wethere am thinking

right or not. Could someone please help me with this.

After browsing the forums i was able to create the DS.

Guys,

I could create a Classification DS based on 0Material_Attr.

When i checked rsa3 i could only see few materials with Chars, not all are being

retreived. for example there is a material for a sales doc but in the new DS that

material doesn't showup and that material has chars which i have added to the

1CL_OMAT001 DS.

Am expecting all the materials present in the MARA should be in the new DS or

atleast the materials which have been assigned the chars should be present in

the DS 1CL_OMAT001.

Am i thinking correctly??? Please advice what should be done to get all the

materials.
