no stock determination rule for material has bween passed on

Dear cons

How can I CHECK WHETHER A STOCK DETERMINATION RULE HAS BEEN DEFINED & ASSIGNED FOR THIS MATERIAL IN THE CALLING APPLICATION.

pL. TELL ME THE MENU PATH AS WELL AS WHICH FIELD i HAVE TO ENTER,

Hi Nirupama,

Following steps are can check the material stock rule assigned or not

1. when you creating mateiral in MM01 go to plant stor2 data

2.in that stock determination group press F4

3. then system asking if you not created then you want create press yes

4.next give your project or without project also you can proceed

5.next select feild and click details tab

6.system will takes to you perticular location of were you have to create stock rule

7.create there and save come back

This is the simple way to check or maintain stock rule

Hi,

Goto MM03 ( Display Material master ) under the view plant data / stor.2, there is a field called stock determn group.

Pl check whetehr any group had been assigned to the material.

In order to check the configuration of your stock determination group and rule please follow the following node

IMG > Materials management > Inventory Management > Stock Determination > Define Strategies for stock determination

Also check the Assign stock determination rule in the application under movemetn type to ensure for what are all the movement types the rule is applicable.
