MDM user

Hi all,

in the installation guide of MDM 5.5 is stated:

Define a user account named mdm to run the MDM Servers on.

Question: on which usergroup should it belong and which rights should this user have?

If you are referrring to a windows(OS) user, ask your windows admin to create a user and install the software after logging on as that user. Your win admin might need to give admin privileges to that user

It is an installation on Linux SUSE LES 9.3 and I have sudo bash access. Basically I have created the user , it is just that there is not much reference in the guide onto which group to assign the user to.

The installation guide is the one for MDM 5.5 SP05

Hello Loukas,

I dont know what mdm user account u r talking about can u please specify in which Service Pack's Installation guide it is specified ?

And if u need to create any new users then u can create it in the Admin section of your repository in that Users. Over there u specify the user name and password and for time being in the development stage give all the roles to that user .
