XI unable to access SLD

Former Member

I'm receiving the following error description in TS SM21:

<i>In the function module LCR_GET_OWN_BUSINESS_SYSTEM, the attempt to read

XI data from the System Landscape Directory has failed. If the data is

still in the local cache, XI can continue to use it.

Check whether the System Landscape Directory is operational and whether

the communication connection is configured correctly. For more

information, see the SAP Exchange Infrastructure installation and

configuration guide.</i>

I already checked SLDAPICUST and SLDCHECK, both seem to be fine. Does anyone have an idea on what might cause the problem here?

Hi Iddo,

if ta SLDCHECK is now working without any error, every thing is fine, assumedly a temporary break down of the destination til SLD, may be because of network problems or somebody restart the server or other reasons, which are not in responsibility of fm requesting system.

Sorry, I missed a bit in the SLDCHECK:

<i>Use transaction SLDAPICUST if you wish to maintain the SLD server access data

Launching the SLD GUI in a separate browser window...

=> Verify in the browser GUI that the SLD is in a healthy running state!</i>

Yes, I can access the SLD via the browser

<i>Calling function LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS

Retrieving data from the SLD server...

Function call returned exception code 4

=> Check whether the SLD is running!</i>

How do I check that?

Running LCR_GET_OWN_BUSINESS_SYSTEM I get:

<i>Test for function group LCRACCESS

Function module LCR_GET_OWN_BUSINESS_SYSTEM

Uppercase/Lowercase

Runtime: 183.487 Microseconds

Exception LD_ERROR

Message ID: LCR Message number: 003

Message:

Internal error in Landscape Directory

BYPASSING_CACHE X

Export parameters Value

BS_KEY_NAME

BS_ROLE</i>

Hi Iddo,

Then they might be connection error in TCP/IP connections that i have given above. Please check whether it is working or not.

This error is shown when there is error in TCP/IP connection.

Prasanthi.

As usual, the solution is always simple: the user XIAPPLUSER was locked. Someone misused the user for another RFC connection with a wrong password!

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

In the SLDCHECK are you able see all the business systems under the function module LCR_GET_OWN_BUSINESS_SYSTEM? Check the TCP/IP connections LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI are working fine or not.

Prasanthi.
