cash journal validation

dear all,

we r using 2 cash a/cs cash collection and cash imprest a/c,

there is one restriction with cash collection that no payment can be made other than bank deposite. i have defined two cash g/ls.

and defined two cash journals.

but i want to restrict cash collection journal for all the transactions other than bank deposite.

Hi Parth,

The cash journal does a payment based on the transaction types you have defined but it can not restrict AR or AP transaction as we do not code a account but account type for them. In validation you can restrict all the AR and AP accounts, which can be done if you don ot give AR and AP accounts type in Cash Journal.

That means a restriction is possible only for GL accounts for AR AP either all or none will apply.
