Maintenance orders are used for carrying out maintenance tasks.
The following information is contained in the maintenance order:
o Dates,
o Resources (material, working hours for the tasks to be carried out
data on operations performed by external companies)
o Settlement rules for the costs that the order incurs.
Maintenance orders can be distinguished with respect to planability.
o Regular maintenance orders
The system creates orders at certain dates through maintenance pla
and maintenance scheduling. The tasks that are to be performed are
derived from the maintenance plans.
o Planned maintenance orders
Planned maintenance orders can be created not only from maintenanc
plans but also from maintenance notifications (for example, as the
result of inspections, the findings of which are included in
maintenance notifications, which in turn are used as a work queue
for future tasks by the responsible maintenance planner group).
o Unplanned maintenance orders
Unplanned maintenance orders generally result from unexpected
damage, accidents, and so on, where there is an immediate
requirement for the execution of a maintenance task.

Hi Eshwar,
Service Order:Short-term agreement between service provider and service recipient, in which one-time services are ordered by the service recipient and resource-related billing performed upon completion.
The service order is used to document service and customer service work. In particular, you can use the service order to:
Plan services specifically with regard to usage of material, utilities and personnel
Monitor the execution of services
Enter and settle the costs which arise from the services
The data for the service order is entered in the history and is important for evaluations and future planning.
You can also create a one-time customer in the order and transfer the data, for example, to the sales order.
A service order contains operations that describe the individual work steps. An operation can be divided into sub-operations for greater detail.
Spare materials and utilities, which are required for service work, can be planned in the operation.
Please Reward If Really Helpful,
Thanks and Regards,
Sateesh.Kandula
