Release of apo BW Key Figure to SNP for information purpose only

Hello expert friends,

I am trying to release a Key Figure from APO BW to SNP.

The problem is that this information will only be used as reference so we dont want it to modify the rest of our forecasts or data (avoid having our projected stock to be modified by it). This kf only contains data for information purpose only

We realized we have 3 options but are facing following problems :

1) release as infoprovider to SNP but only allowed us to do it into 1 of the 4 categories (Fa, Fb, Fc, Fd) which modifies our forecast even when we manage to create a ZX it acted as a forecast category one (modifying data).

2) Try to make a release Dp -> SNP as "Extended Release" from dp kf to SNP kf

the problem here is that snp kf is one of the standard planning area 9ASNP02 hence restricts kf too. (only allow us to introduce Standard Livecache: order KFs)

We would like in this case to be able to choose another planning area with custom kf.

3) Define a standard release from DP into SNP but into a different category type Z* from the 4 available (forecast, stock ,receipts etc).

I will appreciate having your advices on how to proceed

Hi KCA.

You could create a copy of 9ASNP02 and add Time Series KF. You could then load your BW KF into this KF without affecting standard SNP.

9ASNP05 works on a similar basis, with a mix between Order KF and TS KF for safety stock planning.

if the data is stored in a cube, you may use /SAPAPO/TSCUBE transaction to pull data into the time series KF in SNP Planning book.

Adding further, you can always use a macro to make the Time Series key figure in SNP a read-only.
