Is a table buffer for J2EE available - analog to the ABAP stack

Hi,

In the ABAP stack I have this nice feature which allows me to mark a table to be buffered (single key or generic). This can be switched on in the technical maintenance for each table in transaction SE11.

This feature is really great as it's very easy to improve performance.

I wounder if there is something similar available for the J2EE stack?
