SAP PM - Regarding Sending Some Material outside....to get quote

Dear Sir,

I have to send some material to an outside party for repair work. I donot know how much cost is going to incur on this repair work. This spare is a part of machine which is an asset. There is no material or inventory stock for that material. Now, what is the procedure for sending this material to an out side party without PO so that after getting quote, one can raise the PO.

if you dont know how much will the cost incurred ,create a maintenance order with the control key of PM03-external service , select the operation and choose external and in the screen select the services , here you have to specify the overall limit and expected value. but be sure overalll limit should be higher than the invoice to be given, just by experience you can put an limit then proceed as per standard.
