Our QA XI/PI system (NW2004s SP10) is installed on AIX 5.3 and IBM JDK 1.4.2 SR6. We did all the testing and didnt have any issues with JDK version although SAP recommends 1.4.2 SR8 (in OSS note 1024539). But we just noticed that we have our production system build on JDK 1.4.2 SR8. Although this is what (SR8) is recommended by SAP, we are not comfortable going live with it because all the testing we did so far is done on SR6. The question at this point is,
1. Can we simply downgrade to SR6 although the system was built on SR8 or
2. Is it better to rebuild/reinstall from the scratch?
3. Or just go live with SR8 although the testing is done SR6?
Thanks for your help/advice in advance.
Hello
Nari
I have understood your question very closely. Developing and testing in SR6 is not wise because it has operation problems.
It is better to rebuild/reinstall from the scratch?. This looks like a difficult work but this makes your future XI/PI system error free.
