install a new extra dialog instance

Dear Experts,

I have install a new extra dialog instance in the other box and direct it to CI/DB during installation stage.But When i finished the installation, i couldn't see the application server in SAP servers (SM51) and I couldn't assign it to my original logon group (SMLG).

During the installation,I have mounted /sapmnt/SID/profile & /sapmnt/SID/global exported by CI server.Did I loss something??Pls me some advice,thanks a lot!!

Hi Cheng,

Did you check with SICK?, waht about the default, instance profiles? are they looking at CI or not?, if you check this it may give you idea of what's wrong.

Dear Hari,

The result of sick is no error reported.And I check the default & new dialog instance files are all in the /sapmnt/SID/profiles since this directory is exported from CI server.

May I add this dialog to this group manually?

Yes you can give a try no problem, please make sure about the /sapmnt/... sharing with new DI server as well. Try to mention about your OS, DB and SAP versions as well.

Dear Expert,

I have a finding that the work process failed to run thought the message is nothing from command startsap.

I provide the dev_w1 log for details about why the work process failed.
