Hi,

I need some help on naming conventions in IR.

1. we have 4 countries

2. each country has around 100 customers.

3. exchanging 850, 810, 856..... messages with each customers

Namespace per each customer or each message or each country, In this case which is the best way of maintaining namespaces in IR.

Thanks in advance.

Arjun

Hi,

Try with the option countries so that you can group together related to Country wise Geo wise...Time Zone wise..

Hey

i would go for designing namespaves based upon messages.you can call it as

http://<your company name>.com/810_To_Customers

similarly for other messages 850,856 etc.

Is there any advantage going in this way.

Hey

well the adavantage i see here is that your EDI structure is always constant, that wont change with customers or countries(ofcourse the value in them will).

now this will be ur solid platform to develop further.

You will import the EDI structure only once under a namespace and then create DT for the customers or countries.

Arjun,

I am just curious, how you guys are implementing these transaction sets?

with Seeburger EDI adapter?

thank you,

Hi

I would also go with something like

http://CompanyName/MessageNo850

Because the scenario will depend on the message type irrespective of the customer to which it is going irrespective of the country to which the customer belongs.

Let me know if my assumption is wrong.

Thanks

Aamir/Monika,

We have 4010, 5010 versions for 850 message.

For each version I should create a name space.

Hey

since you are leveraging on having to import the EDI structure only once,i would say that create separate namespaces for different version, this will make the design clear
