Hi Alper,

Thanks for reminding me of this. But i was having badluck in maintaining this file format. Let me explain to you what i did.

First i imported a file with correct format ( all chars in it, including the initial step status, factor, date, copy logic..)

How i have to maintain the entries in the excel ? Just only material nos & other chars or do i have to fill in the step no, copy logic.. in the excel sheet ?

if i fill and later i delete the values in step nos.. it says :

Error in row 1: Copy logic is not valid

What mistake i am doing ? can you pls let me know..

I am on SCM 5.0

thx

Hi Venkat,

Why don't you try to create two steps in the realignment table and then export them to an Excel file. In that way you will find out the correct format of the file.

Hi

I never knew that realignment steps can be automatically created by uploading a file. So far i have been thinking that steps need to be prepared manually. If by file, can you pls tell me the procedure of doing that ?

thx

Hello Subash -

to upload the file you will have to give the file .CSV extension.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Anjali. But it was gicing errors with special chracters creeping in. But when we saved it as TAB delimited we were able to get the job done.

You will require to maintain these special characters in the SPRP..

Permitted Special Characters in BW.

Thanks Anjali. I remember that we had done that. But I will still check out this.
