I am working on a MSCS (windows 2003) - XI 3.0 SP12.
I have been running a webservice though XI to return data back in XI. Up until thrusday last week - all messages were being posted in sxmb_moni - but now they are not. They are available in messgae monitoring in the runtime workbench - successfully processed - but are not appearing in sxmb_moni.
any thoughts on how to fix this issue?? or how it came about??
We have tried restarting the system, but that didn't work!!! Can anyone point me in the right direction??

This is strange as it appears to have sorted itself out.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback....

You can also go to sxi_cache and in the "Goto" menu and click Adapter engine and see if the adapter engine url dispalyed is http://xihost:50500/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI.

Hi Barry,
SXMB_MONI & RWB (Integration engine) source the messages from the same place. So this is not possible.
However, if you are seeing in RWB(Adapter Engine section) and not in RWB(Integration engine) side, then there is a problem in AE to send to IE. The status of messages in AE should tell you the reason.
So, if you are able to see in RWB (Integration engine) section, and not in SXMB_MONI, I could think of only 1 possible case: There is a filter applied in SXMB_MONI search screen.
- Check if there is a filter applied in SXMB_MONI.
- Point the Status group & Status to empty (to get all)
- Give appropriate Date/Time ranges
- Select View 'Default' radio button at the top of page
- Reset all other fields to blank
try this, and you should see them.

I Think you are wrong with this. There RWB (Adapter Engine) gets populated throgh Java Views.

Go to the runtime work bench and check the adapter monitoring and see if the messages are struck at your adapter level itself.

Hi,
For you to see synchronous messages in Xi, you got to go
>sxmb_adm
> integration engine configuration
>specific configuration
> add a new entry
category : Runtime
param : logging_sync
value : 1
set this settings and you should be able to see messages in sxmb_moni
