Limit Shopping Cart and Cost Distribution Button

Hello

The limit Shopping Carts do not allow the cost distribution. The button for Cost Distribution is 'Disabled' in standard SRM where as you can do it in SAP Purchase Orders.

Does anyone know why is this not allowed or if there is a way to enable the cost distribution button for limit SC.

Thanks

Vinay

Vinay

This is the correct functionality for an invoice only limit order.

The actual costs will be entered at invoice entry time and can be split then.

If you create a limit cart with confirmation / invoice the option is available.

Hi Keith

Thanks for response. I see the behavior you are talking about but I don't understand why SAP allows to do cost distribution in limit PO in ECC but not in SRM.

Thanks

Hi Vinay,

In SRM, when you create a Limit SC with confirmation & Invoice...later followed by SRM PO. The system in the ECC creates a PO with Item category "D" service.

This the standard functionality, thus when we create a confirmation in SRM, the system creates a SES with a account document in the ECC system (automatically).

Whereas when you create a Limit PO in ECC system directly, you can create a GR in MIGO for Goods.

This is the difference, which allows you to create a Limit PO with cost distribution in ECC. The GR for any cost distribution PO the Account document is not created in the ECC.

Regards,

RK.

Hi Vinay

The cost folder will not apprear in the limit shopping cart if you mentioned UNKNOWN as account assignment. if you mention Account assignment KNOWN ,it will appear in the shopping card. This small radio button determines the cost folder in the limit shopping card.
