Hi

Applying SP - 14 (in XI 3.0, SP 9)

I updated the SAP BASIS 6.40 component upto SP - 14.

Now I want to apply the SP 14 in J2EE Engine. Can I do it without SAPInt?? I mean will it work if I unpacke all the .sar files and deploy the .SCA and .SDA file using SDM tool??

SAP WEB AS Java 6.40 (SAP J2EE ENGINE 6.40)

OS-indepedent parts of Web AS Java OS-dependent SAPinst OS-dependent CTRL Files OS-dependent part of Web AS

<i>J2EERT<SP>_<PL>.SAR

SAPINST<SP>_<PL>.SAR

CTRL<DB><SP>_<PL>.SAR

J2EERTOS<SP>_<PL>.SAR</i>

Also as per the guide its says <i>SAP KERNEL 6.40</i> Unicode and <i>SAPEXE.SAR SAPEXEDB.SAR</i> are required to update the Kernel...all the steps are should be in a sequence??? Like can I update the Kernel once I update the J2EE engine??

what is the best way to update the J2EE engine?? SAPinst or SDM?

Thanks

Farooq.

I don't think that we can update it using SDM bcoz J2EE engine will upgrade from scratch.Best way is use SAPinst. After just follow the component upgradation using SDM.
