can anyone pls let me know the dates in sequence of the following and the logic behind it:
1.Delivery date
2.Goods issue date
3.loading date
4.Material available date
pls reply.............
Hi Vinayak,
Please find the value points given below regarding Dates:
The system calculates the material availability date by working backwards from the customer's requested delivery date, taking into account how much time is needed for delivery-related procedures, such as picking, packing, loading, and transportation.
1.On the material availability date, the Supplier / Plant must start the activities relevant for delivery, such as picking and packing the goods. The material availability date must be sufficiently early enough so that the goods are prepared by the loading date.
2.This date is arrived based on the Forecasts (Of Production/Planned orders and Purchase orders). This calculation is done during the ATP Run (ATP Check happens based on the availability Check criteria set in the material). A new Delivery Date is arrived from the Material Availability Date by taking into consideration the time needed for delivery-related procedures, such as picking, packing, loading, and transportation.
Hope this will helps you and Please Reward If Really Helpful,
Thanks and Regards,

hi,
This is done by Scheduling
scheduling is of two type
1. For in house production
2. For external procement
depending upon two it calculates the dates at various level. this is done by
1.backward scheduling
2. forward scheduling
the system always uses backward scheduling procedures to calculate the basic dates. Only if the start date that is calculated in backward scheduling happens to lie in the past, will the system automatically switch to forward scheduling.
the sequence is
material av date-. delivery date> PGI date-->loading date
