Hi all,
I need to display date in mm/dd/yyyy format.I used these lines i am getting ' .' instead of '/'.
date1 type string.
date type vbrk-vbeln.
date10(4) = date0(4).
date16(2) = date4(2).
date14(2) = date6(2).
if anybody knows solution kindly help me.

WRITE : sy-datum USING EDIT MASK '__/__/____'.
You can write it in this manner. Please check it.

WRITE : DATE USING EDIT MASK '__/__/____' TO DATE1.
This will solve your problem.

use this before the line where you want to display
/: SET DATE MASK = MM/DD/YYYY
&date&
it will work

Use REPLACE '/' WITH '.' INTO date1.
