Image UI Element - Picture from FTP Host

Hi!

Question: I would like to display an image stored at a ftp file server in a wda ui.

The url is read via fm and returned as ftp://user:pass@server:port/path/image.jpg.

I tried to bind the source of the image ui element against a context attribute type string with above mentioned content, but display did fail.

Another attempt via iframe ui element succeeded, but has the disadvantage of the picture not to be resizeable.

Has anybody got an idea how to get the image displayed in resizeable format?

Hi Thomas!

Why do you not import this image in your SE80 Mime Repository. Then you should not face such problems.

By the way: As far as I know newer versions of Web Browsers like MSIE 7.0 will not support the use of ftp://user:pass@server:port/path/image.jpg anymore.

Not supported is the user/password within the URL; that's for security reasons. So maybe you now build a solution you have to redesign "next week".
