by using control statements in loop how i can avoid *'s in internal table

Hi,

Seems that you are using SUM.If so then it will display lilke * if it is a non numeric fields.Better you move the fieldsd indivually to one more internal table and display the same in ALV.Take a different varaible to display the sum.

Hope you are not talking about Dynamic Internal Tables.
