hi PM gurus

i have a couple of questions regarding PM

1. How do we configure warranty based on performance

2. How do we configure maintenance plan based on performance

3. what are basic differences between 4.7 and ECC 6 versions relating to PM

1. You need to map one of the characteristics as a warranty counter. Use that characteristic in the BGM1 transaction to create a master warranty.

2. Performance based plans use counters. So use the IP41 transaction to create the maintenance plan. You can select the counter from the equipment you have mentioned in the maintenance plan.

3. Pls check the release notes of E.C.C. 5 and E.C.C. 6.0

thanks for that

well a bit of doubts regarding my old querries:-

1. for warranty via performance

we create warranty counter and we need to create any mesurement document?

2. for performance based plans :- if we first create task list and assign package to that task list ex 500hrs,1000hrs ,1500hrs,etc and we maintain counter for that with 1500hrs as counter annual reading and while creating strategy maintenance plan we find a maintenance plan cycle tab and in that we find(cycle) coloumn - that is the target value as said - tell me what value we have to enter here.

3. where can i find the release notes regarding ECC5 and ECC 6.0

please follow the steps for creating maintenance stratergy plan

create equiment task list and attach the required maintenance stratergy

create maintenenace stragtegy plan using IP42 and specify the stragergy in the plan , here it will not ask the cycle length

then schedule it

Hi Kolla,

1) Yes, you need to create measurement documents,then only maintenance data will be updated.

2) The “Cycle” column will be copied from Maintenance strategy while task list will be attached to Maintenance plan.So no need to enter anything.
