Correct...But in your landscape DEV , QA , PROD which system has the highest probability of remaining up for maximum time? DEV and QA systems might go down more often than PRD because of testing new functionalities which may result in system crashes etc etc ...so PRD should be more stable than DEV and QA...so it should be ideally be a high availability system....As i said earlier, there is no fixed high availability system, depends on ur landscape, business etc etc...but generally it is seen that PRD is the high availability system
But what is generally done in HA Systems.
Like in Distributed systems we have CI in one system, DI in one system
Like this , what is done in HA Systems.
As i understand in HA system There wil be a central SAP System , we woudl connect through two Systems(Message Server) say node A and Node B.,
Pls let me know whehter my understanding is rite
>Hello Balaji,
What you are talking about is just cluster which is a part of HA and not the whole HA itself. An ideal high availabilty system is one which will remain available at all the times except when you shut it down for deliberate reasons. HA should cover every single pooble cause of failure like database crash, hardware failure, network issues etc.
