we have a FTP client and its settings are kept like that if a user tries with a wrong password ....the user will get locked. How to avoid this situation ?? Basically I want to set CC to try just once or twice at the most. How can we do this ??

Thanks for your great suggestion Brian (sorry Barry) ! Situation is like.......pwd will be reset by somebody and won't be informed to the developers. In this case if the developer uses the old pwd...........the new one gets locked. So just on to be safe side........if the developer knows it well before it gets locked.......he can be proactive and looks for a correct pwd......This is all the background that my query has
