change EBP PO in R/3

Hi Gurus ,

we want to update the partner functions from the vendor master in R/3 , into the partner tab of PO header.(PO recreated from EBP to R/3)

in our version of EBP i.e. 4.0 "invoicing party" partner functiona is not available in the "relationships" tab in transaction "BP"

we were thinking of directly updating the PO. However we are unable to update the PO , we get error message saying "unable to change EBP PO in R/3"

is there any way to get around this problem and change the PO ?

What roles have been assigned to the Buyer ?

Is it a standard role or in your system, you have maintained some Custom (Y or Z roles also).. Try to order the PO from SAP GUI and once you get any message while ordering.. Immediately execute SU53 tcode to check out for the authorization object and the required missing authorizations avaialable in RED..

Then you need to assign those missing authorizations to the Buyer role to allow him to create/change/display Purchase order depending on your scenario.

we have created the PO in EBP, this PO is recreated in R/3

we want to add the vendor partner functions to the PO in R/3 because the partner functions are not available in EBP.

we are working on EBP 4.0 , extended classic.

is a service pack available for adding the partner functions"invoicing party" to EBP 4.0 ?

<b>Better approach is to upgrade to SRM 5 from EBP 4.0..

To confirm the same, please create a Customer OSS message with SAP.</b>
