Upgrade Problem from sp08 - sp12

WHILE APPLYING PATCH IN THE J2EE ENGINE

in the step patching the J2EE Engine ..while upgrading to sp12 one of the step says that in the SAPINST GUI select "Apply Support package<SP>"

can anyone tell which sapinst do i have to run

I am starting the one which is present in the master DVD provided for installation. but this SAPINST there is no such option

Hi Nilesh,

Please download the sapinst and the controlfile for sp 12.

This can be found in the os specific download directory.

Thanks for your useful suggestion it worked

I started with the upgradation then got an error

variable xml [../JDK Version.xml] should be defined

it also gave JAVA_HOME Not defined...

The procedure we followed was ..

the previous version of JDK was 1.4.2_06

we then separately installed the JDK 1.4.2_09 and defined the JAVA_HOME to Root dir of 1.4.2_09.

The mentioned JVM parameter changes were done in the config tool.
