Hi,
I am sending the output of the smartform as a pdf file and email to the customer. I need to protect the pdf file with a password. Please let me know if we can set the password for the pdf file in the driver program?
Points will be given for useful answer.
hi
good
FM EXCEL_OLE_STANDARD_DAT has an import parameter:
VALUE(PASSWORD) DEFAULT SPACE
Just set password to the pwd you want.
And the parameter
VALUE(PASSWORD_OPTION) TYPE I DEFAULT 0
reward point if helpful.
thanks

Geeta, there isn't a way to set the password on a PDF through SAP unless you have a third-party application. Do a quick search on SDN for "PDF password" and you will see many threads about the same topic and they all come to the same conclusion; SAP does not provide a way to password protect the PDF.

You will need a third party application to do this but I do not know of any. I have tried to find a solution to this exact problem, as well as many other people, and so far nobody has a solution, as far as I know.
Please refrain from adding "Points will be given for useful answer." to your posts. This is frowned upon on SDN.
