FRF-00007 Unable to open RFC connection. durin system copy

Hi,

We are doing Homogeneous System copy from our production server to our Quality Server.

During the phase STARTING THE RFC JOBS we are getting following error.

ERROR 2007-10-01 12:56:25

FRF-00007 Unable to open RFC connection.

ERROR 2007-10-01 12:56:25

FRF-00063 RFC logon failed with message: Failed: Connect to SAP gateway failedConnect_PM GWHOST=aelr3qas, GWSERV=sapgw00, ASHOST=aelr3qas, SYSNR=00

after the error I'd tried to startsap manually, Startsap log is as follows:

Hi Neehir,

Increase the size of the shared memory pool in the profile, for example with

ipc/shm_psize_10

ipc/shm_psize_40

If this does not help then think of kernel upgrade.

It is clearly a memory issue.... First reboot the server and try once...If not as Umesh has described increase the size of shared memory...

Can you please increase the Virtual Memory of the Server and check once again..It worked for me once......also paste the contents of the stderr# file here(can be found work dir)...

Hi,

OS: SUN SOLARIS 9

DB: ORALCE 9i

I've 4 gb of RAM and 16 gb of swap memory..

The shm parameters are incresed by:

ipc/shm_psize_10 124000000

ipc/shm_psize_40 144000000

did u try to do a cleanipc and ipcrm..?

Please exec the following if not done and try again...

cleanipc <instance number> remove

ipcs | more

if ipcs command refers to processes under <sid>adm then execute the following

ipcrm -m <pid> for memory segments

ipcrm -s <pid> for semaphores

Once done try starting sap again...

I forget add shmmax parameter in system file..
