Hey Abhi,
We never assign a plant to multiple company codes. always we can assign a plant to one company code only.
even in the intercompany billing also you dont assign plant to company code u assign plant to sales organization of other company code.
to verify it go to OX18 and check it if you assign plant to one comp code next time it disappears for other comp codes.
thank you

No, plant is always uniquely assigned to company code. However in the cross-company scenario, we can assign the plant to sales organization and Distribution channel of other company codes. This permits materials stroed in plant belonging to one comany to be sold by the SO and DC of another company code.
Plant is not directly assigned to more than one company code.

Hi Abhi,
Normally 1 plant can only be assigned to only 1 company code. But we have a special scenario called as intercompany sales wherein If you make some configuratrion settings in the system it will allow you to assign a plant to more than one company code.
Hope it is clear!

Hi
Under normal conditions, it is possible to assign one plant to two different company codes. This is also not the process as the question will araise on which ccode the material cost/material movements be booked to.
The condition of itnercompany process is <b></b>not assigning plant to multiple ccodes<b></b> but it is only the configuration at an entirely different path to enable intercompany process. i.e. The organisational/enterprise structure will not have one plant for 2 company codes.
Hope this clarifies the situation.
Reward if this helps.

Hi,
A plant can have only one company code, but a company code can have multiple plants.
You can associate one plant to another company code structure, provided a cetain intercompany setting are done.

hi,
one plant cant be assigned to two company codes ,as plants are companycode specific , in intercompany we assign it to the sales area, sales line(sales org & dist.channel) of the other company code.

Hi,
But STO works as follows:
Stock Transfer Orders comes into picture when the stock is moving / Transferring between two different plants with two Different Company Codes or Stock Transfer between two plants with One Company Code the Difference are given below:

The Purchase Order Type is Used in this case is "UB".
And the Delivery Type Used here is "NL".
STPO: - Stock Transfer Purchase Order Inter Company

The Purchase Order Type is Used in this case is "NB".
And the Delivery Type Used here is "NLCC".
