Experts,
I have a question about batch determination in SD. I'm working from home and have no system access so I can't test it now.
When batch determination is performed, does it also propose batches with reservations or with not enough quantity?
Example: order for material 1234 for 1000 kg
Batch 1: 2000 kg but reserved for another sales order
Batch 2: 500 kg and free of reservations
Both batches' characterstics are OK. Does the system proposes a batch?
Thank you very much for the help!
Hi,
When batch determination is carried out, it'll propose only those batches which are not allocated to any delivery or order i.e. which are free from reservations. It will never consider those batches which are already assigned, therefore, we always block batches in the sales order itself so that it is not assigned anywhere else........
Reward, if helpful

Hi Jan
It never takes into account the Batches which are kept for Reservation.
its considers only the open quantity.
