Ravi,

Based on your error its an issue not with your install but with the permissions you have for the user who is trying to login...to the visual administrator..Please check that, or let us know if those are right..if you deem they are can you post the roles assigned to that user here..

Hi Ravi,

For loging on to the Visual Admin of your J2EE server, use the existing DEFAULT connection OR else you can create a NEW connection.

To create a new connection in the visual admin follow the following steps:

1) Login to the OS level of your SAP Server with <sid>adm.

2) Go to Drive:\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEB....\j2ee\admin folder and execute go.bat .

3) Click on the Login screen and then select the NEW Button .

4) Select the option Direct Connection to a Dispatcher Node and give some

logical name then after press next.

5) The Next Screen will ask for the user name : enter <b>j2ee_admin</b> as user name. Enter the host name of the server. And for Port you need to enter the P4 port number of your J2EE server. The P4 port number is [ 50000+(100*Sys.Number) + 4].

So for example is the system number is 00 then the P4 port will be 50004.

Make this entry and then press SAVE.

You can use this Connection now.

Even after this if you are facing some issues with connecting your Visual admin tool to the SAP J2EE Server then it should be an issue with the JAVA Stack itself.

You need to check with the log file from T-Code ST11 to make sure that your Java stack is properly operational and all the processes ar running fine.

Imp. Log files to be analyzed (dev_server0, dev_disp, dev_dispatcher, Server0.out).

I hope this should help you!

Hello Ravi,

Which port are you using to login into the visual administrator.

following convention applies for the port: 50000+(100*central instance number).

Also check once that you had given proper assignment of roles/authorization for

J2ee_Admin user.Check the link for help
