Hi Subhrajyoti

for getting data from R/3 u need to create R/3 system in portal. after creating the system log in to VC system.(eg url:http://xxxxxxx:50100/VC/default.jsp) after successful login u will get one screen with some options in the menu bar, from that options first one is "MODEL." From the menu option u will get the option for creating new MODEL.

After creating model , u will get a storyboard.

In story board u need to create new package/page. (will get from compose)

in page u need to create an iview...(will get from compose)

in view u can model ur scenario.

for getting data from R/3 go to "FIND DATA"

in find data u can see ur system that u created in portal.(only if the system is working properly)

there u will get one option for searching ur RFC's...

Drag and Drop the RFC to Story Board.

give the inputs to input port. and take the output from output port of the RFC from story board.

in view u will get layout screen also.. here u can make changes in layout according to ur need

revert more clarification

Hi Subhrajyoti,

Login into VC. Click "Model" -> "New Model". The you will get a dialog box where you have to enter the Model Name. Then click OK. You will be inside the newly created Model.Click the "Compose" buttom placed on the right side of the VC screen. There you can find iview, Page, Package. You can drag which ever you want.Anyway you will design your application in iView. Whan you drag an iView & drill down into it, you can find a lot of Components, Connectors,Operators,.. at the right hand side of VC story board. You can design accordingly.

You can acces BAPI/RFC from R/3 in VC. For this you have create a system, to connect with the R/3.This Portal System will bring all the BAPI/RFC from the underlying R/3.

Its better if you can refer the VC Modeller's Guide, its availabale in SDN. You will get a good idea about VC there.
