Hi K Bas,

Also you can check with...

MMC ( In windows) if there is a node for Java Server

Check file system if SCS directory is present under file path /usr/sap...

Hope this is useful

step 2: Checked the internet explorer and no page was displayed

-> This may be ecause the Java stack is down....

Explore the usr/sap/...directory tree....if u have java stack you will be able to see directories like /usr/sap/<SID><Centrla Instance>/j2ee..etc

thanks Umesh.

I checked the directory \usr\sap\<SID>. I have the SCS directory.

Is it safe to assume that ABAP have DVEBMGS00 directory while ABAP+JAVA have SCS01 directory?

Hi Bidwan,

The j2ee directory is inside the usr\sap\<SID>\JC00 directory.

Hi K Bas,

Its 100 % safe if you have SCS directory that means JAVA component is installed.

Method 1: if profile parameters like rdisp/j2ee_start or jstartup/vm/home are defined you have a ABAP + JAVA stack...

Method 2: in the OS of ur Server, open the IE and try to open http://<hostname>:5<instance_number>00 if it is successful, you have a Java Stack....

Method 3: if u try to explore the /usr/sap directory even then u will come to know...

There are many ways to check this, above 3 are some of them

Hi Bidwan,

I checked my system.

step 1: rdisp/j2ee_start i defined with value of 0.

step 2: Checked the internet explorer and no page was displayed.

Step 1 tells me that I have ABAP+JAVA while step 2 tells me that I only have ABAP. (I could not understand step 3).

thanks,

kbas
