what is difference between data type and message type?

Hi Narsimha,

In simple words i can say, message type is a <b>kind of</b> envelop which contains the data type.

So,

1. First create your data type in Integration Repository.

2. Now create your message type and then take F4 help to select your data type.

Kindly set the thread to "<b>Answered</b>" once you are fully satisfied.

Data types are the most basic entity to define the structure of XML elements

XI message types are based on data type that are described on XSD types.

Message types corresponds to the root of XML message.

message type references one single data type.

message type describe what actual payload message of an XI interface look like.
