Hi,
there are 4 types off mapping.
1)Graphical Mapping
2)XSLT Mapping
3)Java Mapping
4)ABAP mapping.
so first one graphical mapping is done in XI and it will be installed when u instal XI of any version.
Remaing mapping u have to do in seperat editor and u ahve to inport in to Integration Repository.

1. Add additional mapping types in your exchange
profile
Open
http://<host>:<port>/exchangeProfile/index.h
tml
Choose IntegrationBuilder ->
IntegrationBuilder.Repository ->
com.sap.aii.repository.mapping.additionaltypes
Maintain the following entry:
R3_ABAP|Abapclass;
R3_XSLT|XSL (ABAP
Engine)
2. Check whether the data has been successfully read
from the exchange profile:
Open
http://<host>:<port>/rep/support/admin/index
.html
Choose Administration of
Properties -> All Properties
If the value associated to
parameter
com.sap.aii.repository.mapping
.additionaltypes is not correct,
choose <b>REFERESH</b> at the top of
the page.
thanks

I hope i am clear this time.

Rao.
Hi,
I'm not, if I understand ur question, however, there is no need to do additional steps to have mapping types available in XI.
What is ur problem? R they missing in ur system?
Peter
